Austin's Homecoming

September 1st will always be a day that I will remember.
It's the day that our middle child came home.
He obviously doesn't follow the typical middle child syndrome,
As some of the nurses said.
He wanted to spend more alone time with mamma and daddy!

9/1 is the day that forever changed our lives.
Yes they were born about a month ago, but they have been in the NICU.
Nurses had the responsibility of these three boys...we fare just there learning the ropes.
It's not just about John and I anymore....
Now we are caring for a little boy.

Family was anxiously waiting for these little men to arrive home.
Their little cousin, Dani, was the most excited out of all.

She has always been excited for her cousins from the start of our journey...
She was there during my hospital stay and the delivery.
It broke my heart that she wasn't allowed up in the NICU due to age requirements.
When Charley and Brian brought her over...she was in heaven.
She put a big smile on my face to see how proud she was to hold Austin.

Grandparents were just as happy to finally hold the little one.
These boys are my moms first grandchildren.
She was too happy that she wouldn't even let go of Austin.

My dads heart melt as he cuddled him in his arms.

My in-laws were thrilled to death.
They each held him and cherished the moment.

My grandparents were happy to hold their second great child.

This past week
His personality has really shined through.
This little boy, as John calls him is a drama king...
He wants to be held all the time.
He sleeps during most of his feeds.
He loves to be awake at night and sleeps peacefully during the day.
He does not like being put in a bouncer,
But likes to hang out in a boppy...I think he thinks someone is holding him then.
He loves to cuddle and to be rocked.
He is a great eater and getting stronger at nursing.
He hates baths!
He wasn't amuse by gunner.
He can go through about. 15-20 diapers a day....

Austin...you've got out hands full,
But so worth every minute of you wailing, cooing, burping and farting.
You melt our hearts.
We love you little buddy!
