As a child,
one of my favorite holidays was Easter.
There are many reasons why I love Easter.
One is celebrating the resurrection of Christ.
Then there are the traditional ways of how people celebrate it.
Easter Egg Hunts
Easter Baskets
Pictures with the Easter Bunny
Food and Candy- peeps and eggs...
Time with Family
But my favorite was dying eggs.
Even though the boys are not even one yet. They are really observant.
I wanted each of their first holidays to be special.
I thought the perfect way to introduce Easter to them would be to
dye eggs with their cousin who is a pro.
The boys (especially Aiden) were really interested in the boxes!
I picked up 5 dozen eggs. (thank you Costco!)
I thought 5 dozen eggs would be enough.
Well...take a 4 almost 5 year old...
and she wants to do practically all of them.
But it was perfect.
Dani was excited as she pulled each egg from the dye.
Glitter even brightened up the eggs.
Charley and I were able to dye about a dozen...
Charley was great at using the "crayon" that makes magic when the egg drops into the dye.
Me...not so much!

Oh that egg is interesting..
BUT bananas are better!
Dying eggs isn't exactly how I remembered doing them as a kid,
but it sure is fun to watch the Dani's reaction,
or one of the boys stare at the eggs...
Don't mind the spit up...its a common accessory at the Becks house
After a much needed nap time...(for the boys)
baseball practice began...
Grandma always has tricks up her sleeves...
The fun didn't stop outside...Uncle Johnny always knows how to get a laugh out of Dani!
Holidays always bring out the best in children
and makes the magic come alive!
I can't wait until next Easter for our boys to have the
twinkle in their eyes like cousin Dani!
Crazy to think...but this is the first picture where Dad is holding all three of his boys alone... Austin gets him smile from John, that's for sure!
