The time has come to potty train.
I've been pushing it off for multiple reasons.
Who really wants to train their children?
I didn't want to get three little toilets or clean them out,
but reality hit me and I realized I had to...
We have been talking to the boys about potty training for a while,
but didn't really force it.
They would sit down on their little potty and sometimes
just a little drop would come out.
But my goal was to get them trained during my week off for spring break.
I was even fortunate that John decided to take this week off too,
which helped out tremendously.
Since these guys are our first children,
and I'm learning all about boys...
I looked into a bunch of different methods or techniques.
I looked at pinterest, google, magazine articles,
talked with friends who had trained their toddlers already and
read a 3 day method article...but in the end it was truly up to me on what to do.
I knew they were ready-
They were waking up from nap time with dry diapers...
They let us know when they go in their diapers...
They are vocal and talk to us!
I decided to go with No Method but follow the boys.
Saturday morning came and here we were all set up to start...
We blocked the boys in our front room with a variety of toys.
John and I talked about how we weren't going to focus at all on Austin
(he didn't show any interest and always said no to using the potty)
We thought let's train the two easiest ones and leave Austin in a diaper...then
let the other two show him and he will learn that way...
We figured that Aiden would be the first to master it since he's always the first.
Little did we know...Austin would finally prove us wrong!
Austin was the first to pee!
He asked for underwear instead of being butt naked...
and soon enough he peed through it.
We rushed him on the potty!
Glorious moment right there!
His smile was so bright and big...
Soon enough...they all realized that if the pee in undies...they will be wet.
And Tada...
That was all it took besides some M&Ms, fruit snacks, jelly beans and stickers.

The first day was full of accidents and us putting the boys on the potty as soon as they peed.
The second day only had a handful of accidents which made me on proud momma!
Austin was the first to be the closest to being fully potty trained too!
Who would have thought?!?!
But it was a long two days with toddlers stuck inside the front room...
so what's a mama got to do?
Switch activities frequently...
play dough, kinetic sand, puzzles, new games, books. tools

Day 3: (Monday)
Potty training became a good type of "boring"
No Pee Accidents.
| Proud little family! |
Rest of this week:
No Pee Accidents...
but Aiden will pee in the potty but that is it.
He is terrified.
I just keep telling him,
that when he is ready, he can...
Today, we spent a good two hours in the front yard and
no one had any accidents. Proud momma again!
Austin even was jumping on the trampoline and said
Austin even was jumping on the trampoline and said
"Oooo Momma, I go pee pee."
He ran into the house all by himself with me following him.
Tomorrow, we will truly test their training as we are going to
put them in underwear for a trip to the zoo...
Wish us luck!
