This past month I have been occupied with too many things and not enough time.
Between Austin's seizures, the tummy flu, report cards and student compacts
now student led conferences...
...blogging went out the door.
But, I can honestly say I have missed it.
Today marks the boys turning 19 months.
But this blog isn't about their 19th month stats- its just a month late.
So happy be-lated 18 month stats...
It's hard to believe that the trio are 18 months old.
18 months!
Where does the time fly.
I know when I was a child time flew a lot slower- so what happened?
We survived 18 months.
At 18 months...the boys are making great strides towards becoming independent toddlers.
They are short babies but all the same height!
2' 5.75'' (1%).
We are gaining good weights, (30-35%)
They are playful and silly.
They let you know how they feel.
John and I joke about them being bi-polar...
maybe that's just every toddler!
But it sure feels crazy at times then a minute later we are laughing.
I guess that's just life with three toddlers.
Next lesson to be learned...how to clean up toys!
Giving our dog a bath.
Aiden-
Your very territorial and protective.
You love daddy the most.
You hate leftover foods like your mama!
Your our dancing king.
You'll eat everyone's food then your own so daddy started calling you a food hoarder.
You love bananas.
Throwing blankets out of your crib is a must!
Your our climber and it's only a matter of time until you figure out how to get out of that crib.
You hate to brush your teeth now
but can't get rid of the paci.
You always have two and always seem to find them from your stash.
You love to hide toys.
During bath time- you own the water faucet.
Your mind is always turning on how to do something you shouldn't be doing.
You love trains.
Your 24 lbs 2 oz.
Austin-
Your extremely loving and sweet.
Your smile is warming.
Your always copying yours brothers actions.
good or bad
Your diagnosed as having epilepsy, but you won't let that hold you back.
You love medicine so much that when we say its time for medicine,
you throw you paci and come to the counter to get it.
Your the first to figure out how to get the car going while pedaling it with your legs.
You always gives hugs and kisses when asked.
You love peek-a-boo!
When you say no- you have the perfect hand gesture!
You love drum sticks- not the ice cream type-
but real drum sticks...drummer one day?
Your 23 lbs 8 oz.
No Mama!
Logan-
Your goofy.
You always have a puzzled look on your face when your trying to figure something out.
You still love how to get objects to work or figure it out.
You ask a lot of questions even thou you aren't talking a lot of real words yet,
but your tone, hand gestures and face makes it easy to decode what your asking about.
You like LOVE to read books.
Sometimes if I don't hear you for a while and I'll check on you in the playroom.
You are sitting down quietly looking and turning pages in a book.
Then the minute you see me, you bring the book to me.
The Spot Series are your new favorite!
You love to empty your crib as well.
You are starting to share toys and pacis with your brothers.
You actually go find stuff to give to them and look upset when they don't take it.
You love copying mama's faces
and your quite good at making a scrunchy face.
You love barney.
Your 23 lbs 6 oz.
Such a boy...after the bugs!
All three of you love being outside.
Lately, I've been feeling like we aren't allowing you your freedom outside because we are nervous (especially after battling the tummy flu for a week) of you guys getting sick again.
I cannot wait until the sunshine comes back out just to let you out!
I also wish I could become three separate people with a push of a button.
It would make my job a lot easier at times, especially to let you explore out front or play at the park.
I am now at the point where its too hard to take three toddlers out alone.
You don't like hate being in the stroller.
I get it, you love to walk and have the freedom.
You don't like hate being told which way to walk.
I get it, you want to explore new textures.
You don't like hate being told no.
I get it, but it's for your safety.
Life with three toddlers is quite challenging at times, but rewarding.
Last Friday night was a moment I will never forget.
I was reading Spot to Aiden on the beanbag.
Austin came over, bent down and rested his head on mine.
I looked up and saw Austins perfect smile and rewarding face.
Then Logan came running and climbed right up while Aiden started laughing.
At that moment, I knew all was right in our life.
Toddlers can be challenging and we've had our moments,
but still 18 months later...
I wouldn't change it for the world!
Proof that Gunner loves the boys even after all the torture they do to her. She's licking Logee.
Happy 19th 18th months boys.
