You said WHAT?

Prior to the three...
my house was always clean...
I mean spotless...
Everything had a spot and a place.

Now...you walk in..
our house has transformed to baby land...

Many people have asked numerous questions:
"Do you have help?"
"How many diapers do you go through in a day?"
"How do you do it?"
"Do you formula feed or use breast milk?"
"How much laundry do you do?"
and a million others...

This blog is dedicated to all those "random" thoughts about having multiple babies under one roof...

Diapers...
How many we use depends on who is watching the babies.
Some people change them more frequently then others.
On a normal day, when mama is home with them,
they use between 25-40 diapers.

Feedings...
Recently I wanted to see how much they ate.
I was curious.
The boys are on Enfamil AR mixed with breast milk.
This helps with GERD and allows the breast milk to stay down in their system.
In the NICU Enfamil AR seemed to be the only solution that helped them gain weight
and not spit up their whole feedings.
So we have kept up with it.
In a 24 hour period..
We go through
 40 oz of Enfamil AR
30 oz of pumped breast milk.
I also nurse a baby at each feeding time (except early morning and late at night)...so
that's a total of 70 oz for just bottles
not including how many oz each baby gets at nursing.
That's a lot..
Imagine how many bottles we go through.

Clothing...
I told John last week...
if he realized that we got through a minimum of 6 outfits a day.
A daytime outfit and sleeping PJ's.
That's 42 outfits a week...
That doesn't include if the babies spit up (which is at every meal)
and if I change them or not...
depending on how much and if it gets on the outfit.
One day, last week, I went through 11 outfits in one day.
Logan was changed four times.
Aiden was changed four times.
Austin was changed three times
Christmas day...Logan was changed five times!
I still try to do laundry every other week...
but it usually takes me all day.

Baths:
The boys get two to three baths a week.
So that's about nine towels and nine hand towels a week.
From start to finish, it takes about fifty minutes.

They take about five to seven naps during the day.
Their naps only last about twenty minutes,
but they usually have a one hour morning nap
and sometimes a two hour afternoon nap.

We visit our doctor and nurses at least once a month for synagis vaccine,
lately its been once a week.
We run our dishwasher every night.
Currently, I take care of the babies by myself most days.
Sometimes friends and family come by to visit and help out.

There is always something to pick up off the floor,
a room to vacuum,
laundry to be done,
and dishes to be removed from the washer,
but sometimes those "little" things have to wait
because the boys will only be babies for a little bit
and I want to cherish every moment.
