My life is crazy.
School is back in session.
It feels like every since the trio turned one,
we keep getting slapped in the face with some type of illness for each boy.
I have chores that need to get done around this house.
I have blogs that I have been putting off.
I have clothing that needs to get washed.
But we are blessed.
I was going to write a blog about our "big" boy car seats...
but tonight my heart is in a different place.
Mr. Austin has been battling a fever and a stomach bug since Sunday morning.
Today when I came home from work, he broke out in a rash.
I quickly called his pediatrician to make sure he would be okay.
Luckily, the on-call Dr said its the ending of his tummy bug.
But...now as all three boys lay asleep in their bed...
I'm sitting on the edge of our bed thinking about our life.
Yes, Austin is sick.
Aiden and Logan are well.
But all three boys are healthy as can be.
I complain about the "little" things,
when we have lots of things.
Many families have far worst tragedies then we have experienced.
My heart aches for little kids that have to grow up too fast.
My heart aches for friends that watch love ones pass.
My heart aches for parents who hug their little ones as they reunite with God.
So tonight I will cherish,
picking up toys, cleaning sippy cups and bottles,
making lunches, putting clothes away,
washing spaghetti stains out of clothing and checking up on my three sleepy babies.
For there will come days when toys will be in the right spot,
sippy cups and bottles are gone, and
our laundry basket will be empty.
There are days that we just want to get through them and be able to get the kids down to bed but I would give anything to slow the time down. Why do they have to get big on us so quickly? Why can't they just be babies a little longer? We are so blessed and yes having multiples is added work but I know neither of us would ever wish for anything different.
