There Goes the Bottles

This blog has been the hardest to write.
I have been putting it off because after I finish writing it...
it truly means these babies are not babies anymore.
We are entering toddler world.
The past weeks, the babies have become more mobile.
Aiden and Logan are walking more then crawling.
Aiden stands up from sitting and walks.
Austin has finally got the hang of walking.
He is starting to crawl less too...

 It's bittersweet.
But this blog isn't about the boys toddling around.
Its about saying good bye to our bottles.

I wanted to get rid of our bottles at a year old.
But that changed.
We got down to just a bottle at bedtime.
I knew our time for saying good bye to bottles was coming,
but I don't know if I was truly ready for it.
I was excited to not wash them anymore or pouring milk into bottles.
But for some reason, I kept holding on and letting the boys have their evening milk in a bottle.
They used their zoli cups during the day, but I had a hard time just letting it go.
To transition them to zero bottles meant they were no longer babies...
John and I set a date to end the evening bottles.
We are officially a bottle free family for a week now.
John and I decided to try just giving them their evening milk with dinner.
Makes sense...but now we needed the boys to buy in.
I figured it would be hard because they love their bottles.
Whenever they saw them, they would squealer with excitement.
I have spare time now, since I'm not washing bottles.
I can play more with the boys after dinner.

We brush our teeth after our evening bath then play for an hour and its bedtime.
They still go down to bed at seven without a snack or a bottle and they do wonderful.
Even though they all are currently sick.

All three boys take after their mama and love to brush their teeth.
I brush them then let them "brush" too.
We ordered six more zoli cups so we don't have to constantly wash those either...
but now we are out of the baby stage and into the toddler stage.
It's bittersweet.

People always tell me to cherish each moment because they grow up fast.
That's my new advice for newborn moms...
cherish those moments of snuggling, feeding, holding and even washing their little clothes...
before you know it, they will be toddlers...
then children and soon adults of their own.

A happy breakfast of pumpkin bagels and yogurt.

Austin loves milk the most. He even tries to get his brothers.
