Four Christmases

Christmas for the year 2013 is officially over.
Many people are taking down their trees and decorations,
while preparing to bring in the new year...

I took our tree and decorations down the day after Christmas.
We needed the space-
a playroom blog to come-
for three adventurous boys to play with
and moms sanity over the baby gate and missing items to end.

Christmas 2013 didn't let us down.
We celebrated four Christmases...
well actually three and one party.

Our first Christmas was actually an awesome party at Bob's.
One of the best I have been to yet!
Bobbie did an great job adding in all the details and activities to make it not only kid friendly
but baby and toddler friendly too.
The boys got to decorate a cookie, which quickly turned into eating it.
Who needs frosting anyways?
Extra sugar right?

Notice Austin...a burger in one hand and cookie in the other. This Kid!
They got to decorate their own Santa plates with paint.
Usually my boys are not happy when I paint their hands to make art work,
but they truly enjoyed themselves painting the plates.

Santa even made an appearance.
This time went a little better then the mall Santa,
but Aiden still hates Santa.
I was hoping if he saw Santa passing out gifts,
then he would lighten up. I. Was. Wrong!

And...according to Logan- the food was off-the-hook!

Our Second Christmas was celebrated with my dad and sister, Deborah at our house.
This was the third time the boys opened up gifts and started to get the "hang" of what to do.

and are beginning to understand what sweets are...

Aiden decided that his stocking was great and wanted to check out mine.

favorite toy of the day- a little bulldozer from my dad

Christmas morning was spent with just the five of us at home.
They got to open their stockings from Santa.
Diane made the boys stockings and I absolutely love them!
They turned out perfect.
We currently do not have a fireplace...or a place to hang them,
but that's in the works for our next house.

Logan trying to look in Aiden's stocking to see if he forgot anything.

Logan's new facial expression...I love it!

In place of candy...fruit strips!

Our Third Christmas was celebrated at my mom's house.
My mom bought the boys Thomas the Train cars and a train table for their first birthday.
They are in love with it, but unfortunately had to be disassembled due to the boys becoming monkeys...playroom blog again...
As soon as they saw my mom's tree- they noticed Thomas was circling around the base of the tree.
From then on...the mission was to get Thomas and destroy the train.
They. Were. Obsessed!
All three boys kept going back to the train tracks to try and find Thomas.

There are more cars to this train but the boys seem to keep taking it apart.

I always enjoy my time with my family.
Seeing the boys love amd know their great-grandparents make me
appreciate how close they are to them.

Our fourth and final Christmas celebration was with John's family.
We went over to my in-laws house and had a wonderful dinner.

The boys had their first taste of prime rib and loved it!
They even ate Brussels sprouts.

By the evening they became pro's at opening presents.

Karen and Gary make money trees come to life.
Each year, they give each grandchild a money tree to put in their bank accounts.
Ours are going towards College...
They boys loved their tree this year!

Finding the pickle in the Christmas tree has become a tradition in this household.
Dani gets to go first...
next year she will have to step up her game while she competes with the trio.

Then time for the adult version...
Brian won the first round.
I won the second and got one of my favorites!
I love Starbucks!

Christmas with the Becks is always a great celebration and
reminds me how lucky we are to have a nice family!
Many people complain about spending time with their in-laws,
but not in this household.
Karen and Gary are the best in-laws anyone could ask for!
They treat Charley and I like their own daughters
and always welcome us into their home.

Christmas 2013
The funny thing is that Austin is crying in both pictures!

What a difference a year makes...xmas 2012

xmas 2013

Our family had a great Christmas this year.
It was even better then we imagined.
We didn't think they would tear apart gift and enjoy presents,
but they proved us wrong again.
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your families.
