A Snowy Monday

Being in the Valley of CA,
we rarely get snow.
When we do get snow, it usually doesn't stick.
And the warm weather doesn't really help that we are in December
and its now just finally starting to get chilly
But...that doesn't mean my boys will never experience it.
Growing up- we had a cabin in the mountains that my parents owned.
We. Loved. The. Snow.

So why not introduce snow to the boys a little early...
Today after I got off work- I made our snow...

What I pictured as a great activity in my mind
actually turned into a BIG MESS!

A fun mess, but a BIG MESS!
And if you know me...
I hate messes, but am learning that it comes along with toddlers!

All I got was an instant snow container from Bed Bath and Beyond...

add water
and TaDa-
You have snow!

What amazing me is the container even gets cold like snow.
The boys weren't sure at first about this new texture but quickly loved it.
Thanks to paci's Austin was the only daredevil who decided to try and "eat" it.

What's this mama?
Such a perfect shot of my inquisitive little Logan...inspecting things like normal

Let the mess fun begin...

Brother, let me show you how to do it!- Aiden

Logan pointing to his nose every time I said snow was the topper on the cake!
He'll make grandma Karen proud!

A fun filled Monday afternoon...
Another new sensory activity...
but next time, I'm leaving the snow for outside fun!
