A week...
what does a week feel like to you?
For me, this past week I've been on strict hospital bed rest.
The funny thing is...
This past week, time has gone by faster then
the last three months I've been on modified bed rest.
I have told some of my friends that I agreed with them..
The reason why is because nurses are coming in to check on me every 2-3 hours.
Family and friends are visiting
and maybe the clock is going faster?
I can honestly say..this past weekend,
I was extremely nervous and a little scared
being left in the hospital without John.
In the past four years, I haven't spent time away from John
for more then 2-3 days...
So the idea of him leaving me Sunday night
made me a little apprehensive.
But he had to go back home to work.
I have earned shower privileges...
That's the exciting part of being in the hospital...
You can earn taking a shower.
When most of us take a shower for granted.
I have lost 5 pounds since being in the hospital.
The nurses are concerned, but my Dr isn't.
He said its from all the swelling and some of my swelling is going down..
so water retention.
Either way, I had to meet with the dietitian.
We talked about what I wasn't eating from the cafeteria.
Mostly the meat...
I told her I liked fruit, veggies, hard boiled eggs and some other things.
Well now...with every meal.
They have given me..cantaloupe...and cantaloupe
and more cantaloupe...
let me tell you..I like cantaloupe...but eating it for 5-6 days in a row..
not so much!
They also decided to bring me food every 2-3 hours...so
I have breakfast at 8:30
A fruit tray with a nasty milkshake at 10:00.
Lunch is brought around 12:30-
but due to fetal monitoring..I usually eat it around 1:30
Then an egg salad sandwich and a cookie is brought at 2:30.
Dinner is around 6:00...
Cheese and crackers at 8:00...
For starters...I don't think even a pregnant woman would eat that much food!
Its just so much...I can't finish it all...
